Why is it better to book from our official website rather than from another online portal (e.g. Booking.com)?
By booking directly on our website or by phone you will be entitled to more benefits:

How can I do the reservation?
You can book directly, through our booking portal (https://poderinoscristoforo.kross.travel/), or by filling out the information request form at the end of each page of the website.
Do I need a credit card to book?
A credit card is required for each reservation. For bookings that don’t require prepayment, it is used as a guarantee, and no charges are made except in the event of non-cancellation and no-show.
From what time is the room available on the day of arrival?
The room is available from 3 p.m. If there is availability, it is possible to arrive earlier, but only upon confirmation by the hotel.
At what time should leave the room on the day of departure?
On the day of departure, the room must be vacated by 11 a.m. If you wish to extend your stay, you can request a late check-out, which will be granted subject to availability.
The rates for late check-out are:
  • until 12 noon: free of charge
  • until 3 p.m.: € 30
  • until 7 p.m.: € 50
Do you have wi–fi in the hotel?
Yes, wi-fi is available free of charge in all rooms and in all areas of the hotel.
Is parking available? How much does it cost?
A large private outdoor car park is available and is free for all our guests.
During which hours is the swimming pool open?
The swimming pool is open 24 hours a day. It opens and closes in connection with the opening and closing of the hotel (April-November).
Do pool seats need to be reserved?
No, the pool has sunbeds and deckchairs that can be used freely, without reservation.
How many rooms does the hotel have?
The hotel has:
  • 10 rooms on the first floor;
  • 1 room on the ground floor equipped for people with disability;
  • 3 rooms in an annexe.
All rooms have a private bathroom

Restaurant

How is the restaurant service organized?
Our restaurant is open every day from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. and it is possible to dine, by reservation, either inside or outside on our terrace with panoramic view.
 
Are you organized for special food needs?
We do not have specific menus for allergies and intolerances, but we always try to satisfy all the needs of our guests, so if you have any special requests just let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Is breakfast included in the reservation?
Breakfast is always included in room rates. The dependance, on the other hand, is rented in residence formula (overnight only). Guests who book the annexe can pay for breakfast separately.
At what times is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served every morning from 8.30 to 10.30. If you have special needs, just let us know and we will be happy to anticipate or postpone the serving time.
Is breakfast Italian or international?
Breakfast is continental buffet style, to please all palates. We serve sweet and savory products such as bread, cereal bread, brioches, cornflakes, cakes and pies, yogurt, jam, Nutella, fruit salad, salami, cheeses, caprese, fruit juices, flavored water, etc.
Does the hotel have a bar?
Yes, Poderino San Cristoforo has a bar area where you can order coffee, hot drinks, drinks, etc.
Which kind of cuisine is proposed at the restaurant?
The chef proposes simple but inventive recipes, with a focus on traditional Tuscan specialties. We choose seasonal products and love to promote the authentic ingredients and flavors of our territory. The result is a genuine menu where you can choose from light and appetizing dishes, while eating well. Good, healthy cooking.

We do not have bicycles, but we rely on Becuzzi Rent, where you can rent different types of bicycles, e-bikes and Piaggio Vespas. It is also possible to have the rented bikes delivered directly to the hotel.

Is it possible to do wine tastings?
Of course! Ours is an area rich in wine production, and there are several wineries where you can enjoy tastings of the area's best wines. If you book directly with us, you will receive a ticket on your arrival for a free tasting at a local winery.

Rooms

Do the bathrooms have a box shower?
Yes, all rooms have a box shower, except for the room on the ground floor which is equipped for people with disabilities and one room in the annexe which has a bathtub.
Do the rooms have balconies?
No, the rooms don’t have balconies.
Do the rooms have a mini bar?
No, the rooms don’t have a mini bar, but you can use of our fridges if necessary.
Is there a hairdryer in the room?
Yes, a hairdryer is present in all rooms.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
No, the rooms don’t have air conditioning but are equipped with a fan. You can also leave the windows open thanks to the presence of mosquito nets and enjoy the light breeze coming from the surrounding hills.
Are pool towels provided?
No, we don’t provide beach towels and it is not possible to use bath towels at the pool. However, beach towels can be hired for €5.
Do all rooms have a view of the countryside?
Poderino San Cristoforo is located on the top of a hill, which is why the view is 360 degrees. All rooms have a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside, some overlook Volterra and some overlook Lajatico.

Depandance "CASA PODERINO"

What does the booking in the dependance include?
The dependance is rented on a residence formula (overnight only) and includes:
  • bathroom linen;
  • bed linen;
  • courtesy kit;
  • equipped kitchen.
How many rooms does the dependance have?
The annexe has 3 rooms, each with a private bathroom. The rooms are all doubles. One of them is a little larger and has a double sofa bed, making a total of 8 beds.
Can I use the hotel facilities if I book the annexe?
The annexe is rented on a residence basis (overnight only) but, if you wish, you can buy breakfast and dine at our restaurant as often as you like.

Animals

Are animals allowed?
Of course! At Poderino San Cristoforo we love animals, and your 4-legged friends are always welcome.
Do I have to pay a supplement?
Animals can stay free of charge. There is only a small supplement for final cleaning, which may vary according to breed and size.
Which areas of the hotel do animals have access to?
Your four-legged friends may freely access all areas of the hotel, if kept on a leash and with respect for the other guests in the hotel. They may also have access to the pool area, but absolutely may not enter the water.

Groups and workshops

Is it possible to hold group holidays and workshops?
Yes, Poderino San Cristoforo is the ideal place for group holidays, retreats, seminars and workshops of all types. We have two big rooms and plenty of outdoor space for all kinds of activities.
Is it possible to have special rates or customized offers for groups and workshops?
Of course. We have special rates and offers for group bookings.
Is it possible to reserve the entire facility?
Certainly, it is possible to reserve the entire facility. In the event that all the rooms are occupied by the group, renting the entire facility is free of charge.
